Impactbarrier LLC has taken over operations, sales, and service for Airfence Safety Systems for both the U.S. and abroad. The new company, founded by partners Mark Lienhard and Alex Spellman and headquartered in Ashland, Virginia, will provide proven and trusted Airfence brand soft barriers. Organizations and tracks seeking to deploy, repair, or upgrade soft barriers to help improve rider safety will see improvements in both the products and service, with quicker delivery and better access to needed repairs and deployment advice.

Lienhard and Spellman both have intimate knowledge of the importance of soft barriers, and in fact Lienhard has crashed and hit a section of Airfence while riding during a track day and knows how effective soft barriers can be. “We all know that motorcycling can be a dangerous sport, and Airfence soft barriers can really help when things go wrong during a race or track day,” said Lienhard. “It is important to consider rider safety, and working together, we can all help make the sport we love safer.”

Impactbarrier will continue to work with and supply soft barriers to the Roadracing World Action Fund (RWAF) as needed, building on a working relationship of 17 years. “We’re proud of the part Airfence has played in improving rider safety by working with RWAF,” Lienhard said, “and we are really looking forward to continuing that important relationship while also providing sales and service for racetracks and organizations that wish to buy and deploy or repair existing sections of Airfence inflatable and non-inflatable self-supporting soft barriers. And we will be happy to answer any questions riders, track managers, or event organizers may have about the products.”
